The Bitch(es)

about me

My name is Sarah, I created this blog in November 2012 with a friend who is celiac, she isn’t a part of the blog anymore but I keep it going because it’s a lot of fun. I am not allergic to gluten but have serious tummy sensitivities to gluten plus many other things. I love documenting my baking/cooking adventures and sharing what I learn about healthy (gluten free) living.

Keep up to date with every post!

It all started somewhere around 2006 when I started to notice I couldn’t handle food the same as I used to. After many visits to a doctor and then naturopath I found out my triggers and have finally got a handle on things. This blog is the perfect outlet for my creativity and curiosity, I love baking, I’m always learning more about health and nutrition and I’m also a graphic and web designer which makes running this site a pleasure.

You can expect to find a lot of recipes (all healthy & gluten free) as well as restaurant reviews, useful diy’s and how to take care of your skin naturally. I have other gluten free bitches that help out with posts when they can. If you are interested in contributing, fill out the form below:

Haha thanks Paul, we appreciate that :) We are still on the hunt for a really great gluten free bread, nothing as of yet compares but if we find it we will be sure to share! We only just started scratching the surface on our gluten issues, so keep coming back. Thanks for the comment! :)

OMG I was on a cruise and got them to make French Onion Soup with gluton free bread. I had tried it with only butter and it was ok, but when you make the soup with it, it was fantastic. I was a happy customer.

Hi, girls! I have recently been diagnosed with celiac. I am so new at all of this and don’t know which way to turn but why does dairy products seem to also both my celiac/ gluten problem? Say ice cream mainly? Milk doesn’t bother me, or cheese. Any suggestions?

Loved the new gluten free bread at Costco but they discontinued it a few weeks ago so I found the bakery outlet today and bought 2 loafs for $6…1 Weight Watcher Point versus 3 for O’Doughs. Del’s Pastry 344 Bering Ave Toronto 416 231 4383 http://www.delspastry.com
