Hello world! Happy end of January :) January is cold, dark and not really motivating. February is a lot of the same but at least one month is done. I thought I’d do a new style of post- a round up every month with my favourite products. These will all be new products that I haven’t tried before but am really impressed with. I may or may not buy them again but in today’s case I will definitely be buying these all again and again. I didn’t have any of these items on my grocery list, I just saw them in the store and wanted to give them a try. They all ended up replacing other products I have because they are that much better.

First up are corn tortilla chips. I have purchased a few different flavours of ‘Que Pasa’ chips in the past and have been really happy with all of them. These ones in particular really caught my eye because they are made of chia and quinoa.

I checked out the ingredients and nutrition and they looked pretty good for chips. These had SO much flavour, you don’t even need any salsa or hummus. They are really delicious and a slightly addicting. I’ll definitely be getting these on a regular basis. I tend to snack on them with hummus or eat them with an egg white omelet.

This next product is amazing! I featured it in my last post. As a coconut oil-hater, the Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Spray is the best thing I could find.

  • This safe cooking spray uses no additives or propellants, providing just 100% avocado oil
  • Featuring a mild, nutty flavor, our avocado oil is incredibly versatile Use it on pans, the grill and even to bake with!
  • Our unique processing preserves many of the beneficial nutrients found in virgin avocado oil, providing a unique, nutritious, high heat cooking oil
  • Chosen Foods avocado oil has as much monounsaturated fat as olive oil It also contains natural vitamin E and the cardio-protective, anti-inflammatory agent beta-sitisterol

The next product I found the same time as the avocado oil, while I was in the states shopping at Marshalls. You can buy it Amazon as well but it was cheaper at Marshalls. This little container of powder makes my whole cupboard smells delicious, I think that’s because of the Coconut sugar. Even though the flavour is subtle when added to the smoothie, it’s a really nice fruity sweet addition.

Lastly is powdered peanut butter. I think I’m late to this party but now that I’m here, I love it! I believe the more popular brand of powdered peanut butter is PB2 but Winners sold this one which is super convenient so I grabbed it. You can buy it here on Amazon as well. This company also sells a chocolate and maple flavour too… yumm.

The great thing about this peanut butter is Tru-Nut contains 85% less fat and fat calories. Tru-Nut is non-GMO, all-natural and gluten-free. Powdered Peanut Butter is made by starting out with roasted peanuts which are then pressed to remove the oils. The peanuts are ground into a fine powder that still retains all of the peanut flavor. You can use it in your smoothies, brownies, cookies, or as a topping for dishes like pad thai and oatmeal.

To get that creamy consistency of regular peanut butter, just add half the amount of water. This is what it looks like when mixed with water. It’s spreads like butter!
