It’s time for me to jet off again which means I have to round up my basic travel essentials. I try and take one big trip a year (I usually end up in Europe). Op woensdag ik bezoek Nederlands (On Wednesday I visit the Netherlands). I am obsessed with Holland (and have also been learning Dutch with Rosetta Stone for the past few months in case you didn’t notice). My mom was born in Holland where she had family reunion about 10 years ago. My whole family went and I fell in love. We stayed in little houses in Spakenburg and mostly visited with family and went for bike rides along the dijks. Since then it’s hard to keep count but I think I’ve been back 6 times. This year it’s a bit different, I’ll be bringing my boyfriend who has never been to Europe. We plan on flying into Amsterdam, then fly to Berlin, take a train to Prague, a train to Munich, a train to Zurich, a plane to London and a train back to Amsterdam. Also, while in Amsterdam we will be taking a day trip to Brussels. I’ve pretty much pre-planned the entire trip. All accommodations, transportation and day trips are already paid for and came to $3000.00 per person.
I want to share my basic travel essentials with you, for the plane, trains and wandering around. I’m not really into wearing a lot of makeup so these are my musts – don’t expect BB creams and lipsticks ;). I’ll also be putting together a list of food-type essentials because I have the worst tummy in the world!! I’m sensitive to everything and constantly snacking. It’s a never ending battle.
